Description
A Sonata by Baroque harpsichord master Domenico Scarlatti. In my view this is one of the most profound and agonizingly beautiful works in the baroque repertoire. By raising the A string to B it is now possible to play this piece on guitar with complete integrity of counterpoint. Originally in B minor (and marked "Fuga" by Kirkpatrick) here arranged for the guitar in E minor. The manuscript has no tempo marking but A. Longo marks it "Andante Mosso". A work for advanced guitarists with extensive difficult counterpoint.
